HFP suspension for Non si used as SI

Well the topic is a bit confusing, but I was wondering something. If I bought the HFP suspension for the regular Civic, but am using it for my SI, is it any different? I am buying it from someone here on the boards and just wanted to make sure they weren't different.

the Si weighs slightly more than a EX/LX/DX and the HFP suspensions do have different part #s. They have different specifications for spring rates and valving etc.

In short... yes, you can use it... no, you cant be guaranteed the best results. than

Just keep in mind I only know from what Ive read. I dont have any first hand experience with either of the HFP suspension setups.

Theres a TON of good info in the 'Suspension & Brakes' section of the forum. I suggest reading through there a bit

Yea definitely read up on it in the suspension section. Also, the spring rate is a vital component when searching for the proper suspension. Incorrect spring rates won't work well in your favor.

they will fit... but you will not likely get the desired results. If youre going to buy an HFP Suspension... why not buy the one designed for your vehicle?

much cheaper^^ , imho, the differences in the suspensions are small enough the average driver for the street wont use it to it's full potential... sure if you want to race your car at the track, go ahead and spend the money if you have the money to spare. after all, suspension talk by people who didnt design the actual part is just a bunch of hypothesis. we will never actually know the differences until someone does a shock dyno or gets the actual specs of it.
