Cause of knocking sound?
well my engine at idle has a huge knocking sound... wondering what could have caused this... its a r18 and here are the mods
Injen CAI Apex'i N1 muffler and things i recently took off Apex'i VAFC II Greddy e-manage ultimate... |

Hmm. The only way I can think of that the ECU could cause an engine knock would be if it was advancing the timing too far and causing detonation. If this happened the knock sensor should simply correct for it.
Did the noise start right after you removed the mods? What circuits/sensors were the piggybacks connected to? Has anything else changed recently? |
