Open moonroof rattle + A pillar rattle

Any time i go over bumps or drive down a stress cracked road with my sunroof open it rattles like its loose in the tracks. My STEALERSHIP says this is normal. I think they are full of sh!t. It just started recently. Anyone else? Also, I'm almost positive that the black trim on the outside of the windshield is making the sound but it's not loose. The dealership has "insulated" the inside of the pillar but it still rattles. Used to I could press on the black trim and it would snap and the rattle would go away for a day or 2 till it came loose again. Now it doesnt snap like its loose. IT JUST RATTLES!!! Sorry its driving me crazy. Any ideas?

I have this problem also. I brought it to the Honda dealer in Hopkins, MN and those lame a$$es could not fix it and told me that this is normal. They adjusted it and it still rattled and stated that even the new Civic's do this. I am sorry but that is not a excuse for a poor design. Getting more and more disapointed in Honda and their warranty coverage.

about the trim yeah the clips had bad design... Get new clips for it and it would fix the problem... I done couple civic in the dealer with the same problem... about the moon roof check to see if it got loose or id it needs grease, check rails for damage, rubber bushings etc

I had the same problem with my SI. The sunroof started as a small rattle but then it got to loud. Tho mine only happened when the sunroof was closed. I took in, and got some stuff replace forgot what it was but no more rattles from the sunroof.

You've only got two rattles, good for you. Mine come from every which way. But when the weather changes so do the rattles. During winter my car drives me mad!
