Dropping RPM???

i have had this 07 civic lx auto for like 6 month. 6k on it. and i just realized that everytime i drive it in normal condition. like reving it between 3 - 4k. but when i reach like 52 MPH. the car like stays at 3k (without shifting) it drops to like 1.5-2 k. not accelerating it hard or anything. any idea?

can you please define the word overdrive? im still a noob. and this happens everytime i drive the car.

well thanks i guess its a normal thing. but does everyone happen to be at around 50? (people with the same car as me)
