clutch pedal

I just recently bought an 06 SI from someone up north, NY

Im in FL. when I push the clutch down it seems to squeak a little coming from outside the car under the hood.

The clutch also seems tougher to push down than my friends SI

No, your thinking of when the clutch is enganged, and the car moves slightly when accelerating. he talking only about pushing in the clutch.

Just take it to the dealer, and tell them to grease the spring behind the clutch. If not, then get some lithium grease, and do it yourself.
