Rev Hang changes when cold

I know I've noticed it but I never payed attention to it like I did today. My friends Supra revs up quick and goes back to idle quick, but my Si hangs like a monkey in a really high tree.... but when my Si isn't fully warmed up and I give it a little rev, no rev hang. I searched but didn't find what I was looking for. Does a reflash fix the hang anymore?

rev hang happens only if you shift while accelerating. if your rpms are stable or dropping as you shift(or just push in the clutch), it will not "hang". its there only to help upshifts

i think it's cause the engine has to warm up. in the morning i let my engine warm up at it stays at like 2K and i can drive around like that only with the clutch .. but it's sooo slow.

I always sit tight to let it drop below 1.5k before setting off.

Reflash is only for the first few 2006 Si's. But, no, it will still be there -- but less intrusive.

I let my car warm up, but I'm saying when I just tap the gas and rev it a little bit it goes up and down the way it should, not the way it does when it's warm.

I've noticed the same thing. This car is sooo easy to shift smoothly when it's cold. Wish the damn thing would just keep dropping the revs like that instead of holding them
