So i took my car to Honda today....

I took my car to my local dealer for some tranny probs as we are all experiencing, they drove my car with me and it popped out of 3rd 2x and when He shifted at high RPM's it grinded just as it always does and i btw have 19,300mi on an 07 FA5.

So while it was in there they said there is a recall and they are putting camber kits on all the si's also there rembursing people for tires so im am really happy with my visit.. They also said since this is the 2nd time i've brought it in for this they are going to replace the Tranny.

I just wanted to share this info with all of you!!

well i just got off the phone with a friend at Honda and he said he heard nothing of this recall/reimbursement of the rear camber + tires...

maybe they're doing that on your car b/c they got damaged in shipment happens all the time... but to replace every civic camber arm + tires is way more than Honda will pay out... plus stock rear camber is set to -1.0 degrees

yeah i'm not trying to go against what you say... just that sometimes the rear arms get damaged in shipment and they have to replace them anyways...

info on 3rd gear should get released very soon too, he said...

Is this something that has been fixed for the 08 Si's? Or should I be expecting it to happen to mine?

Yeahhhhhhhhhh Honda actually better put out a recall, and not only fix 1 of these..

This is like the second time someone said there is a recall, then they realized that there actually isnt

It's not going to be a recall. I doubt it's even going to be anything more than a TSB (at best).

That would mean Honda acknowledging they are wrong and coming clean.

However, it appears they will only do it when a customer complains about it. Effectively leaving most owners in the dark, unless they frequent forums like this constantly.

You're lucky, my dealership absolutely refused to go to redline in my car to see the 2nd gear grind because they said they weren't allowed to. I finally had one tech accept that there was something wrong with 2nd and noted it on the thingy they gave me when I left, so I'll have that to use in the future granted it gets worse.

That's awesome that they're replacing your tranny, my dealer wouldn't even listen about my 2nd/3rd gear complaints and told me there was no acknowledgment from Honda that there was a problem.

Can you elaborate on this camber kit? I've had no such pre-mature tire wear on my car
