What would happen if someone were to...

what would happen if someone were to rev their SI all the way and just dump it on 3rd gear? LOL would the clutch blow? Hypothetically speaking that is.........

this is not a good idea, besides the car has a 5500 rpm revlimiter when at a stand still.

well you can only rev it up to 5600 or something around there when your stopped so if you dumped it in 3rd no the clutch probably wouldnt blow, the car would more than likely bog way down and possibly stall. even if you could rev it up to 8k it would still just probably bog the car. now if your clutch was defective or you constantly beat the pis out of it yes it may possibly "blow"
