Removing mirror from side mirror housing...

I just bought my 06 si coupe, and the driver's' side mirror (the actual mirror itself) has scratches on it...I tried to get these out with various things, but I've decided to just replace the mirror because it is 15 bucks from Honda. Can the mirror just pop out or do I have to completely remove the housing to get it out?

As far as I remember there are screws underneath the mirror to take it apart. Nothing is ever as easy as just to pop out.

This is NOT TRUE. You do not have to take off the door panel to change the mirror, on an Si at least. Maybe others, since mirror is mounted to door.

For Si, pull straight out the corner triangle plastic piece, held on by metal clip. You will see two screws under it. In the corner, there is a cover cap. Remove it. There is the third screw. Remove all three screws, and unplug the electrical connector. Depress on both sides of the electrical connector housing, there are two plastic protrusions. Hold the mirror from the outside while depressing, because these two plastic protrustions are the last thing holding the mirror in place. Remove the mirror.
