Help hard wiring radar detector pleaaase
Alright guys...
So I've tried benmunger's DIY located at DIY: radar detector hard wire But, I've tried just about every single wire located on my harness and none of them are giving me consistent power to my radar detector. The deal is, I have a 2008 FA5 Si Sedan, and I guess they must have changed the harness somehow. But none of the wires are working properly for me, so if anyone can help I'd be really really appreciative. Also, I don't have a power dimming mirror or a navi, if that helps. Thanks guys. And yes, I've already searched. |

Thanks guys, I appreciate it, but I really like it up near the top of my windshield, and would prefer not to have to hide all that wire down to the cig lighter...
I'm reaally close to getting it. I've got it attached to a wire right now that totally works except for one bizarre bug. Turn off car, take out key, radar detector off. Step out of car, lock car, radar detector on... unlock car, radar detector off. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, but I think it's just a messy wiring job on my part. Most likely, a crappy job grounding it solidly. But, I'm way too tired to mess with it more tonight, so until tomorrow morning.... If I get it, I'll be sure to let everyone know. |
