I found this link in another forum.

My question is, what do you guys think about resetting my ECU after installing a CAI?

resetting the ecu is a good idea after mods, and allowing it to "re-learn" the right way with the idle procedure is a good idea too.

well i've had my CAI since i got my car back in August. I'm just going to unplug the battery, let it reset and see if it made a difference. Hopefully i don't get a cel...

it shouldn't....but i doubt you'll notice much. you should just have some peace of mind to know it was done the right way though.

So, i went ahead and did a reset on my ECU last night....No joke but my car shifts smother from 1st gear to 2nd!!! Before the reset it was very difficult to get a nice transition from 1st to 2nd.
