Weird noise or vibration...

Hey guys, I am currently driving EX AT. When the rpm is steady @ 1500 (give or take) i heard this weird sound that gets lounder if i dont let go of the gas or rev the rpm higher? at first i thought it was the engine but it seems like some kind of vibration. does anyone have this problem? but i dont understand why it does it only at 1500 rpm.

Now with 1,000 miles on our 4 door EX automatic, this vibration while sustaining a certain steady, light throttle setting, roughly 1200-1400 RPM seems to be getting more consistant. Feed it more throttle and bring the RPM up, it goes away.

We've heard it since new. I initially thought it was an exhaust heat shield or other exhaust component rattling but after reading an earlier thread someone traced it to a body panel.

I can see this being possible since you can actually flex the lower panels on these vehicles pretty easily.

Still, I'm curious what my dealer will say. It's annoying....on a brand new vehicle.

I have the same exact thing on my EX.. It started at about 2000 miles. dealer could not find anything nor could they replicate the noise.. 9000 miles now and I still have it.. Annoying.

well, you do drive a CIVIC, it's not the smoothest, quietest ride out there...so yup...ya just gotta deal with it...

I have the same squeaking sound too, *shrug*

So you are ok with poor quality because it's a Civic?

I have it too and still have 20 000 KM. The dealer don't know what is the problem yet and they already trying to fix it on few customers 2006 civic. I wish that they will found something soon. Anybody got it fixed?

Evidently enough unsatisfied owners have complained about this problem. Honda has issued a service bulletin, TSB 06-059. The fix should help.
