Occasional Problems when starting car

I have brand new 07 Si purchased about 5 months ago, and I seem to already be having problems with it. On occasions when I start my car, it will not start even when I have the clutch all the way down. After a few tries it starts but I have to re-enter the code into the dash and reset the clock. This has happened to me 4 times now. I believe it has something to do with the battery but I am not sure...what do you guys think?

PS: I have not let the headlights on when I left the car before..

if its asking you to enter code i advise you take it into the dealer you might have something wrong with the alternator or battery connections , on a reg good working car it will ask you to enter code after battery has been disconnected

Yeah, I would also have to vote either bad/loose connection at the battery or possibly a defective battery.

I would take it to the dealer and have them check it out. If you don't want to make a trip to the dealer many auto parts stores (Advance Auto Parts, Autozone) will perform a battery and alternator test for free. Just make sure they also check to see if the terminals are tight.

I had the same problem a few months ago, and brought it to the dealer. They said they couldn't find anything, but thought it might be the battery. It has not happened again since.

Good luck. Let me know what your dealer finds, or tells you.

Its all good now! Didn't take to dealer, just popped the hood and looked at the battery. Turns out the positive terminal on the battery came loose, so I just tightened it up. Got no problems since.
