Speedometer accuracy?

How accurate is the speedometer in these cars?

Last night I went past one of the radar speedcheck machines and my speedo showed 26 mph while the radar readout said 25. I know that's not much of a difference, but still...

Coming from the MINI world, it was well known that the speedo read fast - it's European law. There's actually a weird formula they follow for how much to add to the actual speed to show the displayed speed. But they ALWAYS read a higher speed than what you're travelling and the difference increases as speed increases.

I'm just wondering if Honda does the same thing.

Speedo in my 06 Si is very accurate. I ran past a radar sign at 78 and it read out 78, done the same thing at speeds all the way up to 95. But my problem is, I like to double them out by going triple digits

alot of those radar sgins can only display double digit speeds and display "88" ,meaning all of the lights in the sign are lit up, when you hit 100.

On topic though, I have passed many of those and i have always been at the exact same speed as the sign was displaying. Maybe you were doing 26 and then slowed down out of the radars line of sight so it did not register. Not sure just a thought.

It matches quite well with the speedo on my TomTom nav. The two speedos sometimes differ by +/- 1 mph. I'm quite impressed with both speedos.
