Maybe the added HP will correspond with the temperature.. 66 outside, you get 66 more horses......102 outside watch out baby thats 102 extra ponies.....you better hope for some HOT weather.

FWIW, like I posted in your other thread, that's a noticeable difference for us comparing our EX & LX. Our last vehicles both had them. Come to think of it, the vehicles before those had them too. Once you get used to an outside temp display, you miss it when it's not there. No, it isn't the end of the world, but there a much sillier mods being discussed here too - at least this one serves some purpose other than purely cosmetics.

It's his car - if he thinks the mod is worth investigating, why flame him for it?

My wife drives the LX and loves the car - the only complaint she has about it is lack of outside temp display. So it does matter to some people.

I hope you do find a good solution - it might work for our car too.

p.s. - mods jumping in squashing the guy's idea FTL.

YUP!! My wife has one in her van and I wish my LX had it too. That was the one thing I wanted from the DX over the LX.
Since I got my LX for such a good price, I couldn't see paying $4500 more for a outside temp sensor. $200, I'll install my own.

thermometers are handy when the temps are around freezing and you're on a long drive. Wet roads at 30 are a lot different than wet roads at 34.

But anyway, if its not accurate, then skip it.

Goddamn seriously guys shut the **** up. He wanted to know and the information learned from this post could be helpful to others that are using the search function. Responding with comments to just make your posts number rise is pretty lame and a good way to keep THE SAME EXACT THREAD being started over and over again because nobody is actually helping, just bitching. I might think its a useless thread, but we are here to help not to rip fellow Civic owners a new *******.

I'm pretty sure they sell aftermarket rear view mirrors with a temp gauge(digital) maybe hook it up to outside temp sensor ? Should look into it
