The enterprise by my dealer only have civics for rentals. They only deal with dealer customers though...

The reason the major rental agencies won't buy Honda's is b/c Honda won't cut them bulk deals like the other manufacturers. They will buy off lease and demo vehicles on occasion, and that may be why you see a Honda from time to time. Worked for Enterprise for about 5 years, and they usually make more money buying wholesale and selling the cars after 10-30k miles than they do renting them. Honda doesn't want to have to compete with its own de-valued cars in the marketplace.

I told my Honda dealer last week that I wanted to drive a Honda loaner car while my car was having paint work done, and since they were out of loaners, they got me a 2007 Acccord SE from Hertz with 14,000 miles on it. The Hertz manager said they were due to get the 2008 Accords after the New Year. I'm in the Dearborn, MI, but the plates were Virginia.

Canada here, my LX's got a digital therm. maybe it's because of the cold up here. Yes, the digital therm is a couple of degrees off by factory settings. You have to adjust it manually yourself according to the owner's manual.

Discount Rent a Car here use mostly civics. (LX models only)

I like the digital thermometer because when it's sub-zero outside, I know there could be black ice and slow down.
