key stuck

so my friend has pilot and she put the key in to unlock the car yesterday in the passenger side now the key is stuck in the keyhole, anyone know how to get it out, we tried jiggling it back and forth up and down but it doesnt want to come out and i dont want to yank on it to hard cause it might break, the key doesnt seem to want to return to the middle to be pulled out.

i guess i was right and wrong at the same time. they do not on new models, but the first years they were out did. so im assuming the car is a few years old.
like ^ said, wd-40 it and play around
