Set A Day To Call Honda USA "2nd/3rd Gear"

Lets actually do this. Enough whining already? I think if we keep calling MAYBE something will be done. Good idea or no?

lol im sure they hear of this problem from the rsx community too. and probably since 2002. my friend with an 02 type s had his tranny rebuilt for a disintegrated 3rd gear synchro. strangely enough this problem isn't nearly as prevalent in the 5sp trannies.

if only

i think this is a pretty good idea, obviously they know of the problem but a huge surge of calls all in the same day could have an effect.

I'm just gonna throw January 3rd out there

Thumbs up

Sounds like a good idea to me. Maybe if Honda got a few hundred calls in one day, they might take this issue a little more serious. My Si only has 10k on it and 3rd feels like it's half way one already. Jan. 3 works for me.

This is what Gonzo and I had suggested several months ago.

What we need to do is open case files for every one of us that calls. We need to go onto a designated thread and post our case file number, so when the person for Honda says "We've never heard of this problem before" you can cite 100 other case files, all of which are active.

The problem I ran into the last time I called and complained was that the woman said "There's nothing we can do. You want us to do something and your dealership can't replicate it, and if they can't replicate it, it's not a problem and it doesn't exist."

I've had enough of being pushed around by Honda over this. I bought this car because I thought Honda was dedicated to quality. This car has been anything but, despite the fact that I still love it for all its shortcomings.

Let's do this people. It's time to stop letting these massive corporations take advantage of us. We paid a lot of hard earned dollars for this car, and it's time Honda lived up to their legacy of quality.

Lol, best advice is to stay away my friend. You are going to start "self-diagnosing" your car. Some people do not know how to shift into 2nd gear at redline without grinding.
