For anyone having transmission problems It's possible to beat Honda...

After a year of bull I've been able to successfully get Honda to settle with me. If you've been having problems with your car keep bothering Honda to fix it. Otherwise hire and attorney like I did. The process sucks but they won't even want to spend a day with you in court. They will settle because they know they will lose. Hope that helps some of you with 3rd Gear problem.

3rd gear.... yeah ridiculous

So I have been bitching for a year and a half about the third gear grinding and popping out in my 07 Civic Si...... It has been looked at several times and I finally got PISSED and called American Honda who was well aware of the problem and even called my retarded dealer (who suggested I didn't know how to drive stick, though I have had my 94' Prelude for 10 years now).... anyways AH called my dealer in Maryland and informed them that they would be fixing the issue. Now my concern is this..... i have been driving on this **** transmission w/ bad sychros for almost 2 years now..... rollin my clutch hard in third since I was thinking it was a clutch issue not allowing the engage for the longest time..... while they have my transmission dropped out, I think they should repair the damage I have done as a driver of a vehicle with a messed up tranny..... thoughts?

I just bought a used 06 and it is always popping out of third... Should I ***** at my dealer or just fill it with Amsoil and pray it solves the problem?

Had mine into the service dept today just to inquire as to whether or not they'd replace the fluid under warranty to see what changes it made. Nope, appt. for recall fix next Tuesday. Oh well, saved the cost of the MTF.

I brought my 06 si in to Mahwah Honda because third gear is popping out a lot and the service guy told me they had to take apart the transmission just to see if the tsb fix is covered under warranty or not. He says if he finds that I chipped one of the teeth on third gear then it won't be covered and I will have to pay him $1200.00 just to put it back together without being fixed.... is this normal? can anyone tell me what to do??
