FG2 Tranny bolt up to k20a2 (rsx-s)??

We have a fully built 2002 RSX-s in the shop, with a grenaded LSD/gearset/casing. My question is, would the FG2 transmission bolt up to the rsx-s with no modification? The customer is looking at $2500ish for a used tranny, then LSD, Installation of LSD, then shaving of gears edges due to power he is putting down... All in all $6500-$7000, and at that point he might as well put the new hotness in for less...

Please do not speak on this question, without KNOWING please. I am gonna do a little more research myself, but I thought I would ask my fellow homies!

Why would you use a FG2 Tranny on a RSX type S when you could use the RSX type R Jspec LSD tranny.. easy fit.. and pricing isn't that bad either... check it out

LSD and Tranny - this might be of help?

Please note Speed Sensor in a different position than other Hondas
The 05-06 RSX-S and 06 Si transmissions run a countershaft driven speed sensor vs. a ring gear.

Where can I find this tranny? The FG2 tranny is $2700 from Honda. I would be surprised to learn the jspec tranny is even close.

Webby:

I am confused a bit with the pictures. Is that a rsx-s tranny (02-04 or 05-06) or a 06 Si tranny? They both are similar, but I need to know if they are THE SAME. As in completely identical cases and would bolt directly up...

thanks for the information guys... I have posted on HT and FGCoupe and this is the only site with insight!!
