Windshield wiper sizes? What band do you use?

I need to replace my windshield wipers. The OEM ones worked well for about 8 months before they started streaking and leaving untouched spots. I heard a few good things about the RainX ones, but their website says that both sides of the car take 24 or 26 inch blades which I know is incorrect since the driver's side one is HUGE but the passenger side is smaller.

Does anyone know the size of the wiper blades I need?

Which brand do you use and recommend?

I don't have any problems with mine. The inserts are cheap at the dealer, so when they start to streak, just replace them. You don't need the whole blade, just the inserts.

Rain-X makes the blades at 40 for the set, but you can usually get them at half off with a mail in rebate. However, I'm not sure if the Rain-X insert can be purchased separately or if they accept Honda inserts or if they're throw-aways.

BTW, the OEM inserts are $12-$13/pair.

I personally was really impressed with the rain x blades on my em2.. for about a month. After that they worked a little worse than oem. Idk why, it's not like we got a whole lot of rain in that period of time or anything.. They just didn't hold up all that well IMO.

I would go OEM if I were you..

I ordered some RainX Latitudes for $30. We'll see how well they work. RainX has an entry on their website for which size we need. It was the wrong size, but hopefully since they have an entry, it should mean they will at least connect.

I didn't see how much OEM was, but looking at CHH, it was about $40 for the blades. Maybe I wasn't looking at the inserts.

My stealership charged me $9 for inserts and they installed them

The RainX blades won't work on our cars b/c we have some kind of proprietary latch. I could probably take out the rubber insert from them and see if those fit, but I'd rather just return them.

I went to my dealer and bought two for $9.36 all said and done. It's a 5 min installation, too. RainX stuff may work, but they can't beat $9. Not to mention that the OEM ones worked fine before they just got old.

ran into the same problem on my 07 LX the actual insert is 26-pass and 28-driver but because like the other guy said the flex blade can't be replaced....yet... prolly just be a matter of time before they figure out how to make the whole blade assembly but i'll prolly jus stick with gettin the inserts from the dealership
one retailer tried to get me to buy 16 inch blades, i jus looked at him and said yeah ok maybe that'd work for 1/4 of my windshield

Anco makes a blade called the ANCOŽ Contour Premium Profile Blade, which is solid silicone (or whatever) and made in the style of the factory blades. However, they're running about $40 for 2, with the driver's side being slightly more expensive than the passenger's by about $2.00.

...and I thought the blades for my F-Body were expensive!!!

why would you want aftermarket when your OEM held out for 24 months?

I just replaced mine today from the dealer, they were only 14 bucks for both inserts. I have a thing that i get 2 free pair a year so they actually cost nothing. By the way mine lasted for 9 months before making noises and leaving streaks(i think mostly from lack of rain around here). So OEM is great and cheap.

yeah mine lasted about 6 months but i don't know how long the car sat on the lot before i got it and we had very little rain during the summer and early fall so they developed a curve in the insert. now winter has come and it's raining almost every day :/
