4th popping out, cars at honda now...-<:poll:>-

Took my car into honda today for 4th popping out and they didnt want to go for a ride with me?, they just took it in and gave me a rental, a shiny new 2000 accord(messed up, dinged scratched and gutless)

OK a bit of background, i had me tranny rebuild a month ago, they had it for three weeks rebuilding it and waiting for parts. i did not get a reantal i did not get a apology for them having my car for 3 weeks, i did not pass go and did not recive $200...

we shall see which one of the 4 calls i will get...

A) we are sorry for your lemon you are getting a new lexus, sorry...

B) we are replaceing your tranny...

C) we are rebuilding your tranny again and we are going to try and not leave any watches and bolts in the tranny this time...

D) there was no problem found, please dont bother us again...

It'd will be "D". No doubt about it.

More threads seem to be popping up about gear issues in other gears.

This doesn't seem to be going very well.

You will not get D. They rebuilt your transmission and screwed something up. It will be B or C.

That's why you deal with the 3rd gear problem and never let a dealership rebuilt/replace your transmission. It's that simple. They do more damage to your car TRYING to fix it. Giving it to them in the first place was a bad move. Keep us updated.

Demand for B! No clue why they rebuilt your tranny. They should have just replaced it.

I'm still wondering why you allowed them to REBUILD your transmission. Just have to learn the hard way.

well i work at a dealership and i hate asshole customers and refuse to be one myself. thats why im going to let them call me first and i know that they have procedures to follow, perhaps if they put a tranny in the dealership wont get paid for it... then they might come after me for it?, besides i didnt even buy my car from them or anything...

the only reason that i go to them is because they have treated me well in the past and i can walk from my house to them they are that close.

well its 7:30 they are now closed and no phone call... wonder what they are doing, if anything...

LOL, I'm pretty sure that they left something out, like a bolt or something???

I tried to get it on video with my phone but shifting filming clutching acelerating and steering all atonce proved to be harder then i though... and it would have been a good video, its a nokia n95, its quality is amazing...

i guess i have to wait till tomarow.

So far i called and they are trying to get it to happen, the service advisor said that they have gotten several people to drive the car when its hot and cold and they havent been able to recreate the problem, they are still trying and they asked me to come in on friday to go for a ride with the service manager and try to get it to happen with him. so....

two days of testing(going for coffee) has thusfar yealed nothing... we shall see what friday brings.

yup, coulda saved yourself some time if you'da asked for a ride along initially... I think its ridiculous when dealerships say "describe the problem and we'll see if we can make it happen"...

I work a job that does network/software troubleshooting all the time. We hardly ever say "tell me what the problem is and we'll test it out and see if we can have it happen for us"... generally we say "I'M GOING TO CONNECT TO YOUR SITE AND YOU CAN SHOW ME THE PROBLEM YOURSELF"....
