cold start sound (engine,tranny, catback?)

hello everybody..if i dont drive my car for about a day and i pull out slowly reversing, i get a grinding sound form either my engine, tranny, and or custom catback that i have on)? i only hear it going to from either 1st gear or reverse..anyone have a clue? im kinda leanin toward my custom catback cuz it feels like its comin from under the car or the engine toward the header stock)..oh and i have a aem cai so i dunno if that could affect it or not. anybody?

My Skunk2 cat-back on my EP would do that when in reverse and letting of the clutch. It would shift and bounce off the floorboard and make a annoying *thump* sound. It's just your engine flexing with the stock motor mounts, if that's the same problem your having.

can u be a bit more specific in explaining? ur giving us engine, tranny, and exhaust....too many to choose from to diagnose with little information.
