Mine stopped working too and a common problem is for the connector to come unplugged in the rear. I dont know about these cars but in chevy's I run into this issue at least once a month. I'd check the fuse first, then diagnose the problem further

Take a look at this TSB:

Make : HONDA Model : CIVIC Year : 2006
Manufacturer : HONDA (AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO.)
Service Bulletin Num : 1105
Date of Bulletin: NOV 16, 2005
NHTSA Item Number: 10018257
Component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Summary:
ACCESSORY POWER SOCKET INOPERATIVE.

I showed this to the dealership and they repaired it for me under warranty. The problem had to do with a Verizon Cell Phone charger. If your car meets the criteria, make sure they don't scratch up your dashboard, like they did mine. (they replaced the dash.)

Can you elaborate on this? Did the charger cause the problem or did the charger just not work? I ask because I had my navi plugged into the front 12v plug on the dash. My phone started dying so I plugged in my verizon charger to the 12v plug that's in the arm rest and it doesn't work. Kinda curious as to why...

Sure. The problem stems from the Verizon Cell Phone re-charger. I originally plugged the charger in the in the dash and it worked once. The fuse must have blown when I pulled out the charger. I then plugged it into the Center outlet. Same thing.

I then plugged the re-charger into my 2002 Odyssey and it worked fine. This told me it was a Civic issue. I then found the TSB and showed it to the dealership.

They told me they would replace the fuses but I had to buy a different Cell phone adapter. I said that was unacceptable and that they had to fix it according to the TSB specs. After gashing my dashboard, they had a move to handle and fixed the issue completely.

Now my Verizon Charger and GPS charger work without issue.
