Exclamation HELP!! CAR WONT START - Battery Not Dead

my battery is not dead, ive tried jumping it many times.

i checked some main fuses (alternator, ignition ect) all good

What i did:
I was modding my car so that the garage door would open when i flicked my high beams. all was going good until i was testing power and just simply grounded to a bolt in the engine bay.

Here is a picture of the bolt i used to test the ground.

every time i connected to that ground there would be a single "click"
and would repeat itself every time i connected to that ground.

i hope i blew a fuse and just cant locate it but id like to know if u guys can help me with anything else.

possibly a relay, blown starter, alternator ect.

thanks
Ben

Just fixing the image. Without knowing what you were doing when you grounded to the bolt, hard to say. You'll have to debug.

What exactly happens when you try to start the car? Clunk but no crank? Crank but not start? Nothing at all?

Do other accessories work when the key is on such as radio, dash lights, headlights, etc.?

So the engine cranks but doesn't start. I would check the fuel pump fuse and relay. If you can't find a bad fuse or something obvious you might just have to start checking to see what you are missing; fuel, spark, etc.

I just re-read your post. You say it cranks and that it doesn't turn over. Those are both the same thing. Do you mean it doesn't fire?

it wont take a half an hour to reset. try taking all the stuff you just put on off. see if it works again. i know it was a lot of work but its better to have a car that runs.

There are 2 fuse boxes...one under the hood and another inside by the hood release lever. Don't know what fuses are in each, but it worth noteing
