car wont start short???

For the past two days my car has not start the first time turning the key in the mornning. The engine is not even turning over its like the battery is dead. So i waiy about 30 seconds after trying to start it the first time and try again and all the lights turn on and the car does start. My clock and all the lights on the dash are on rele low dimmer.

what could be the cause of this happening

yes the clutch is pushed all the way in?

I would guess battery. Batteries can cause strange issues when they get weak. Plus, batteries have less cranking power when they are cold.

If it doesn't die once it is started it probably isn't your alternator.

I have seen several people on this site have problems with their batteries. Honda uses a very small group size battery and it doesn't have much cranking power. When it gets old it is much more likely to cause problems as it weakens because it was small to begin with.

when the engine is cold (ie when u first start it in the morning) it will take a bit longer to start up.

lets say you were driving and turned it off (to get gas or whatever). it will start up alot quicker b/c the engine is warmed up.

lets say u try to first start ur car in cold weather, it may take a bit longer than normal, not sure. (someone back me up on this since i live in florida and we have 50/60 degree winters.)

solution: hold the key down until the car starts but not to where u grind ur starter.

Jocasti you actually can service your battery. All you need is distilled water.

Mine takes a min to start also. I've got boocoo electronics in it also so, the battery is a lil overwhelmed. But it did start when it got cold. And I got shitty-but-non-fouling bosch platinum +4's in there too.
