So i take it that you have not went under the car to try and pinpoint the leak?

Could also be the oil drain plug not tightened down all the way.

you could install a header, but you cant take the time to crawl under your car to inspect and diagnose the massive oil leak for yourself???
either, 1.) you had a shop install the header
or 2.) you're a ricer and only want to go fast and dont care about the well being of your car.

^^He has a point. Taking a look under the car to look for a problem would only take 10-15 minutes, thats including the time it takes to jack the car up. It could have been something easily fixed yourself like a drain bolt or loose filter. Now that it's at the dealer, they can tell you anything, including the above things, and charge you a lot of money to fix it. If it was something major then obviously you would want to bring it to the dealer to get fixed, but you should look yourself first to avoid them ripping you off. This reminds me of a post I read on here once that said the dealer charged someone like $50 or some other large amount to diagnose a CEL which happened to come on because the gas cap was loose.

Well at this point it was to much of a mess for me to deal with, so i figured ill let the dealer cover it. Everything should be covered under warranty. I don't see how a car with 3500 is leaking so much oil. Yeah maybe its something stupid that i should of checked while i was under it, but i figured i shouldn't have to deal with something like that in a brand new car.

as was said before, It could have been something as simple as an oil filter or drain plug. yet you felt you shouldn't have been inconvienienced by it?

True, just have them tell you the problem before they fix it and check it out if possible while it's on the lift. Especially if its not covered under warranty. They are called stealerships for a reason, and I've had a Honda service department try to rip me off in the past.

It was snowing, and my brother who was helping me do the header install had to leave. It was my first time doing a mod of this nature, and I was overwhelmed when I had to finish up alone. I cleaned up and went for a ride. Thought something wasnt right with the header so I parked the car. My brother came back later and decided to check the oil, he checked it and there was basically nothing in there. We went to the store, filled it up with 4 quarts and left it for the night. Then this morning it was dropped off at the dealer.

well heres whats wrong with this statement.

1. Yes, it should be coverd under warranty assuming the car is stock or your mods didnt cause the oil leak.

2. Obviously the first thing that the honda techs will see when the get it up on the lift is the race header that will immediatly throw up a flag to them.

3. You should have went under the car and checked the drain plug and oil filter to eliminate those 2 options. If those were not the case, then you either have other problems, or you ****** the head up while installing the header. (which honestly i dont see how you could have, i mean its just a few bolts)

4. If the head is leaking oil due to something you did with the install then your pretty well screwed as far as your warranty goes.

5. when mods are involved you should alway try to trouble shoot the issue your self before taking it to a dealer.

FO-SHO, the dealer should be your absolute last resort.

OH wait, i know what happend. he was so excited to give his Si hell after the header install that he forgot to let it warm up enough for vtec to engage. Reved the piss out of it and screwed up the motor.

Or possibly hes just post whoring with all this oil leak junk. if its leaking oil as bad as he says it is then there no way he could have just driven it over to the honda dealership. It would have to have been towed.

come on dude, give an update.
