Seat belt warning beep

How can I disable it? It's quite annoying at times, especially those one-block drives.

Thanks,

C

I'm sorry C, but that was the most lame-brained question I've seen thus far on the posts. Please always wear your safety belts...even when all you're doing is sitting in the car and you don't have the engine running. Safety first!

I remember people posting info on how to turn off the daytime running lights (also a safety issue) so what is SO wrong with wanting to turn off that annoying buzzer. It is also not safe to drive fast..... so why doesnt honda hook that buzzer up so that it goes off when somebody gets their car up over 85 mph????? I guess it is just my opinion, but if someone doesnt want to wear their seatbelt and put themselves in danger it is up to them, but if they want to drive like a total idiot and put everyone else on the road in danger maybe then a buzzer should go off....... just my 0.02$ on a really, REALLY long day.

Even if I'm not quick to put it on, it's a very annoying sound.

Noone knows?

That also disables the airbag. I mean...if you don't mind, do it, but if you're really talking one block drives, just live with the noise. Turn the radio louder or something.

Some of the things people say on this website amaze me... not in a good way.

Kroze, if you are going to give someone advise, make sure you tell them about any potential side effects, especially something serious like an airbag. Be a little more responsible or just don't talk. Good thing Cameron caught it.

8thgenuser, don't call people lame-brained, because I've read your posts, and you aren't a rocket scientist yourself.

What you see as annoyance, I see it as safety feature. I like especially the passenger warning since I know if anyone at the front seat has unbuckled when car is still moving

Ouch, that hurt! Ah no worries...I ain't mad at ya. Yeah, looking back at the post, that was pretty rude of me to say and I certainly didn't phrase the post correctly. In my own defense, technically, I didn't call the poster lame-brained...I called the question lame-brained. What I was thinking at the time was that not wearing the safety belt, even for a block down the street, is pretty lame-brained since it involves risking personal safety. The question posed was not lame-brained and I was wrong for writing it as such.

Anyhow, Clinton70, I apologize for being rude to you and I hope I don't deter you from asking more questions. We're here to help!

I really would like a nice and intelligent answer to that one. Is it impeding your mad pimping skills?

Anyway think about it, when you are rollin down the road and all of a sudden something happens and the next thing you know you are flying out the window or you windshield and lose an arm or leg or your head. Lets give the EMS people less to clean up, wear that belt.

LOL, I'm not ripping anything out of my car but if you could stop the beeping I wouldn't do it anyways. If its made for that purpose on my car, then I will leave it alone.

I'd like to disable mine because I always start the car to let it warm up before I buckle up. I ALWAYS wear my seatbelt when driving - I just don't like it nagging me while I'm sitting still.
