Ill have to look in the manual but I dont recall any car stating that there is a WARM UP PERIOD....could be wrong...

Personally I quit driving the pos... and its now on auto trader.

no one can tell me 22k for a brand new car should be like this nor say well just do this or drive like this to make me feel better about the pos I have purchased. a/c sux too. 12k kia doesnt do this with 100k mile warranty..LOL.

uh yeah u are wrong. yea there's no warm up period stated in the manual, but it is implied. why would u drive ur car hard when the engine is cold?

so go get a kia.

My procedure fro starting/driving in subzero Temp. is:
1)start,wait one minute ,drive off with 1st gear ,then quickly to 2nd and drive around about a block,in 2nd gear at 20 km/hr.
Doing it like this is more efficient than letting the car warm up for 5-7 min.in the driveway, and you still would have to take it easy driving off anyway.
If the tranny is auto I would just leave it in 2nd.
