Anyone have problems with the headrest?

I'm purchasing a Civic Sedan. The headrests are angled forward at a pretty extreme angle. They do not adjust. I don't have any problems with them, but my girlfriend has neck problems and can't stand to sit in the Civic more than 5 minutes. The headrest forces her head forward, bending her neck and making it hurt.

Anyone else have this problem?

We then tried it with the Accord headrests stuck into the Civic seat. Much better. The Accord headrest isn't angled even halfway as much forward as the Civic headrest. I'm going to have to order Accord headrests or look for a new girlfriend. Fortunately, the gray color is a close enough match that they don't look funny atop the Civic seats.

Hmmmm....no complaints here about the headrest except they could come with T.V's in them. Maybe the coupe is diffrent than the sedan.

I actually preferred that headrest, I like to rest my head back in traffic and long drives.

Must have missed them... didn't get much when I entered in "headrest" on the search engine. My bad.

But if there really are five other threads on this same subject, then it must be a common problem!

Hi - I have the 06 Civic EX Coupe and I noticed the same issue. It's not really a "problem" for me as I adjusted the seats back and am ok with it. Of course, due to reclining the seat, I don't have much back support but since I just take short trips it is not much of an issue. For long trips, yes, I can see where it would be.

I am a 5'2" female BTW and wonder what your girlfriend's height is out of curiosity? Another lady was complaining about the same thing on the Temple of Vtec boards this week and it (of course) caused a huge controversy. They "are" angled very far forward IMO.

She's 5' 6", but has neck problems. I saw her MRI the other day...bony spurs are pressing on her spinal cord! Ouch! So, any forward flexing that most people would not notice, she notices in a big way.
