Do you have a sunroof? Maybe it's leaking out of the drain tube, with some greasy residue. But no there is really nothing else back there.

I got my windows tinted and they left soap crap all in that same area.

Only other thing I could possibly think of is the black tar crap that's behind door panels holding the plastic moisture shield on.

I'm out of ideas.
That was my thinking until he said he had a coupe.

Yes I have a sunroof. I've had Sunroof leak on my old car before but the leak always showed up around the sunroof.
Where is the sunroof drain located and what is the rout the water takes to drain?

I Don't quite know, I want to say it's on the passengers side and it runs from the sun roof down the pillar and through to the trunk, but I am more familiar with the regular civic sedan. But if it is clogged , it could leak over the pan that is in there.

That really is a tough place to diagnose what it is. Imediatly I thought door sealer, but since you only have 2 doors...Could be window sealer but that's probably not put on by hand, and wouldn't show up there.

Hope the clean up took care of it, but watch it when it rains again.

Love your avatar BTW.

Well I'm going to run the water hose on it for a while and see what happens. I'll keep you guys posted. If I see the leak again then I have to make a visit to stealership.
The stuff I used is called BraKleen I believe. I got it at an auto shop (can't remember which one). And yes it does wonders on grease spots.

I had the same stuff but it was from an incompetent tech trying to get my door panel back on after replacing the upper windeow seal.

However, GooGone spray gel takes it right out and isn't toxic.
