Exclamation Car Doesn't Start Up AT ALL?!

ok, so i own a 2007 civic ex sedan.
ive had it since mid july and so far ive already had a couple problems with it. the car wouldnt shift outa park, it was jammed or something, got it fixed. th radio asked me for a code, i got that fixed easy too.

NOW, this morning i find out my car wont start, unlock, or lock. i go in the garage and i press the unlock button on my key.. nothing. lock, nothing. trunk, nothing. panic, nothing. so i manually unlock the door and try to start the car. the car doesnt respond with I, II, or III. nothing at all.

i've no idea whats going on X__X"

did you check the battery? it could have died overnight or the battery cables could have come loose. if thats not it, call up honda and tell them to come pick it up and fix it.

Yeah, it only pops a little bit, and then there's a latch on the inside, middle of the hood that you need to press in order to open it all of the way.

Yes, you'll need to have a generator/battery charger, or another car that you can pull up in order to give the car the juice.

Definitely sounds like the battery. Sometimes you just get a dud that only lasts a few months. Sometimes you accidentally leave the dome light on

Lawlz, and sometimes when you pick the car up the first night and the rear dome light doesn't turn on, you yell at your salesman for forgetting to put the fuse in... until he opens your rear door and flicks the switch... yeah that was me...

Honda will hook it up to a machine to let you know if it's good or bad. If bad then they will definitely replace it.

I'm sure that'd be fine, but make sure you didn't leave anything on all night that could've drained the battery, cause you'll look silly at Honda then.

ok so my car works now. yeah the battery WAS dead. damn man. like 3-4 months and its already dead? and also, i noticed my foglights dont work anymore. sucks. its sunday and the dealership's closed =="

oh man. and so i told my mom about it. and shes gunna take it to the dealership tomorrow and i haveta take her rav to school tomorrow. i mean. the jump helped the car, and hopefully it wont die out again for a while right? hopefully >.< so shes planning to tell them that we had the car jump started. hope it wont be a problem X__X

im guessing honda will replace the battery.. which would be the same battery, just new right? and theyre gunna fix the foglights too. im wondering.. should i buy a battery myself? if so, whats best?

Your car doesn't constantly run on the battery, in fact running your car will help it. I would drive around a bit today, or leave it running for a bit in your driveway. Then, have our mom take it to the dealer tomorrow.

If you don't know how to pop the hood on a car, I'd say you don't know how to do anything in a car and that includes giving juice to the battery. Get it towed to a mechanic or call up a mobile mechanic. You probably left your lights on.

I read a few posts later and you said your fog lights don't work anymore. Could be some wiring issue with the fogs which is killing your battery, just a wild guess.

your battery is a dud. now i no that honda provides shitty ass batteries. the samething happened to my dads 06 honda accord. except it happend wen i was sneaking out of the house. so i rolled the car down my driveway and the shit wudnt start. so i got stuck in the middle of the road at 3 in the morning. car wudnt respond to anything until AAA came and jumped it.

anyways take it to honda after u jumpstart it one more time cuz itll nvr start without it, and theyll replace it under warrenty. they did for me.

the reason ur fogs myt not be working is becuz the alternator is providing all the electricity so there myt not be enuff to run them.

We all start off somwhere. I could not change the oil on my first car, I had to have my Dad do it. 5 years later I was doing a transmission swap from automatic to manual and I had replaced 2 headgaskets in 3.8L Mercury Sables.

No one deserves to get neg repped for not knowing about their car unless they claim to be a know it all and then have a simple problem like not not knowing how to open the hood or know a battery is dead by the symptoms.
