Is there an actual Service Bulletin for the 3rd gear issues?

Please help me! My local dealership OF COURSE can't duplicate the 3rd gear grind that 99.7% of Si owners experience and it is driving me nuts. They said if I can find a Service Bulletin that proves this is an issue, they will do something about it. Then they had the audacity to tell me with the obligatory "no offense, but..." that maybe I was not pushing in the clutch pedal far enough, shifting too quickly etc. I told them I have driven manual transmission cars exclusively for 10 years and on EVERY Honda I have had, 3rd gear grinded. If it was my driving causing this, why don't gears 1-2 and 4-6 grind for me? Damn I am getting really pissed. I said that I know a bandaid fix would be to replace the MTF with a full synthetic, which they said they could do it and assured me they would honor the warranty even though it was not a Honda MTF (Amsoil). So anyway guys, can anyone please give me a Service Bulletin? I need to show them they are wrong and want a smooth shifting Si!

Hope you get all this worked out man. Have you considered changing out the bushings?

Mine's starting to grind more and more often. Time for the MTF change. I wouldn't expect a dealership to fix it--plus that's extra time I wouldn't have the car.

Someone posted a bulletin at some point on here, wish I could find it for you.
I've ground 3rd probably a half dozen times now and my car is due for first oil change so I have Amsoil oil and MTF in the trunk waiting, taking it in tomorrow for the oil change, dunno what to do about the MTF yet. I called the service manager and I'm waiting on a call back right now.

Bump. My dealer is being a bitch and will not accept the US TSB because its not CANADIAN. I explained to them that the cars are built in Canada whether they go to the US or not . They are being very unhelpful, and I know they could just look it up on their computer. Why the hell must they be so anal about servicing a car under warranty that is obviously flawed?

that drives me insane as well. Honda Canada told me NOT to change the MTF! They said it doesn't help, it's just a band-aid, and if the honda dealership does not give you service to your satisfaction, let them know, and they will send an engineer.. I am waiting on one ( we will see what happens)

I talked to my dealership about the bulletin, and its only for 2006. I have a 2007 with the same issues.

Make : HONDA Model : CIVIC Year : 2007
Manufacturer : HONDA (AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO.)
