shifter cable bushing help!

Ok so all my cameras are dead ofcourse but on the TWM cable bushings once they are installed does the clamp ring you put in the little groove on top stick out and it wider than the actual busing itself? it seems like this ring used to keep it from falling through the transmission line, although snapped into place perfectly... is very big.

Sorry ill post pics later if you guys dont understand

Yes the smaller c clip is a lot wider than the bushing that is normal

ok also for the smaller bronzoil bushing the only way i could get it to go on was for the small end through the drive cable ring first and clip it on the side clasest to the motor is this going to be a problem? i dont see why it would as long as its in place, and also wat was the screen like sandpaper that came with the cable kit from TWM for?

Not really understand what your saying? Are you saying that you are having trouble getting the bushing in the post? or are you having trouble putting the clip in?

I dont know anything about the sandpaper because I have the corsport bushing set.

no i got it on fine, its just you know how one side of the metal busing is bigger than the other? like a lip so it will catch when it fits into the trans line? well in order to get it on the post i had to slip the side without the lip slosest to the motor and clip thant same side, then one with the lip is on the right sight if looking down at it from the engine bay.

The side with the lip is suppsed to be on the outside thats where the C clip is supposed to sit in. I hope thats what you're talking about.

If you look closely at the smaller bushing... the c clip is huging the lip. Thats how it stays in.

thanks ryan for the pic... i know the c clip goes in the little grovve on the busing... but if you look at the pic of your smaller bushing, mine is directly reversed with the groove on the other side. I havent noticed any issues though 40 mi drive to work today, feels great btw i dont see how mine just being opposite could cause any damage some1 please correct me if im wrong

I would think that it should be like how mine is shown because the c clip is supposed to prevent the cable ring from coming off of the bushing.

try this... can you clip the cable ring on and off the bushing. if you can. then you need to reverse the bushing. if not then you should be cool I would just check it periodically to be safe
