Vibration underneath?

When I am on partial throttle like lets say half and up at around 4k rpms i let off, it back down and gets that loud deep resonating growl from the aftermarket exhaust which sounds sooo sexy btw if you know what im talking about... anyways once it starts to resonate i hear a slight vibration from under the car, directly underneath the center console it seems. I believe this is just the pipe rattling from when the car is backing down... never noticed it til' this morning ofcourse i have not been listening for it, I also notice a whistle when on partial throttle which I assume is from the intake getting air. I even noticed this in my 07 EX before my SI

any thoughts?

Josh

I see a broken flex-pipe in your future from your DCRH. The flex-pipe issue has been around since 2002 with the DCRH & that is why I went the JRRH on my EP3 & now I'm running the BCRH on the FA5.

Supposedly DC "fixed" the flex-pipe issue but the DCRH looks the same to me. How long have you been hearing this sound from underneath your car? Was this sound present before the DCRH was installed?

dont necessarily need a lift. just jack stands.

BTW, if it is broken, get it welded and get a torque dampener. that should stop teh engine from moving soo much, then there wont be too much of a strain on the flex pipe. or get that flex pipe cut out and a longer one welded in place.

I just noticed this sound this morning... so i dunno i guess it could be broken, will DC not fix this problem if thats the case? and it seems lke all this cutting and bitchering this RH seems kind of expensive to make a cheep ass header better i knew i should have went BCRh

Did you fill out the warranty card & mail it to DC? If you did that then DC should fix or replace your RH for free since you've only had it for three months.

^warrenty card shouldnt really matter. an invoice w/ purchase date is usually enough proof.

I have the same thing and I have stock exhaust and everything. My car is in Honda right now and they are looking at it. I think it may be heat shield is loose, or maybe it is the flex thingy everyone is talking about

Wow three weeks & you're already having issues with it. The warranty card should have been in the box the header came in.

I wouldn't worry too much about it because if it's broke then you're really not going to incur much more damage. When I had a warranty issue with my DC shorty for my old EP3, DC sent me a new header & they said for me to just send them back the defective header so I really didn't have any downtime. Just the time it took me to unistall the old one & then install the new one.
