Its most likely mold, when you run the AC and then turn it off there is still moisture inside. Thats why its better to run the regular fan after you AC to take away the moisture

yeah its most likely the Flour, there is a cabin filter maybe you can replace it and see it if helps?

I always have my fan on to circulate the inside,Honda recommends you always leave it on because if you dont it will get moldy and nasty smelling.

I was wondering about this too, so all I gotta do is hit off the AC button and leave the fan spindle wheel thing on and no mold will grow?

What's the difference between the AC and the fan, I thought they were the same thing lol.

With the fan the green light for the AC isn't on.

I have had the same issue with a 98 CR-V and a 2006 Pilot. There are a few products out there that you spray into the intake vent on the outside of the car at the bottom of the windshield that will get rid of the smell. On the Pilot I used a product called "MOC A/C Odor Treatment", which one of the parts counter guys gave me at my local Honda dealership. I used 1/2 of the 5 ounce spray can just prior to replacing the cabin air filter. It worked really well. The contact number for MOC is listed as 818-896-2258 on the can. Hope this helps.

Mine smelled weird since I got it. Then the a/c compressor failed (leak) and replaced. Since then no smell.

I talked to a mechanic and he said the best thign to do is turn the AC off a few minutes before you turn the car off. This lets some of the water from the AC drip out. Another thing he said to do is make sure to hit the recirculate button to close the vents on your car if you plan on storing it for extended periods of time. Lots of bugs and mice can enter through these vents, thus leaving a bad small or even possibly damage wiring.
