Question would this hurt in any way?

taking everything after the stock airbox and filter off?

No. In fact there are quite a few people that have done this. It will make it sound louder. I have yet to hear anything bad about doing it.

MY suggestion would be to only remove the resonator so that you're still pulling air from outside the engine compartment.

I should have done this myself when I installed the CF grill on my FA5. I had the bumpercover off & I totally forgot about it because I was sooo excited to install my CF grill & JDM emblems.
