I plugged the holes on left and right side and the rattles disappeared right there with a song with heavy bass playing.

The rattle is back, albeit somewhat less than before. Yep, service attempt #4.

Live with it? Heck no. You guys, like me, bought a brand new car from Honda, some of us with a "premium" sound system, and I think it ought to be able to handle playing music at at least a 1/4 of the volume without having to emasculate one's music content of choice. I previously owned a 98 accord (which I stupidly sold) and a 2002 passat, which both had at least acceptable factory sound systems, neither of which caused even a whisper of rattle in the car.

Granted, I guess I never had a factory-installed sub before, however, I am unwilling to accept their product as is. Now, if I had purchased an aftermarket product from a 3rd party, and had it installed, and the car rattled, I'd just have to accept it since it was not factory installed.....

If it's not fixed this time, I reckon I will go up the service food chain until they figure something out.

I'll keep ya posted.

I've noticed rattling from the car due to the bass. I don't even have the bass up that high; it normally starts when on the freeway and the SVC kicks in and turns up the stereo.

Although my issues don't come from the rear deck lid they are coming from the side pockets on the doors. That flimsy plastic just vibrates like crazy. If I press my leg up against the door pocket the noise pretty much disappears, well except for the rattling from the passenger door.

I figured I'd just buy some dynamat and cover the inside of the pockets to get rid of it because I don't think the dealer will really be able to do anything with it.

By the way I have a 07 Si with less than 300 miles on it.

Dang, I would be very upset if mine rattled, but with less than 300 miles on it! Gee, take it back and make the dealer fix it.
P.S. Didn't realize this thread was so old. I was just reading around.

The link doesn't work on the first page. Anyone have to write up somewhere or can tell me how to fix it without going to the dealer?

Thanks
