My 06si just split at 41000... 2.5yrs have honda care warranty visor just hangs and won't stay up. Annoying since I consider that a safety hazard as it obstructs view of traffic lights etc. Although Honda states differently ... Agent on phone said "if it was a safety concern Honda would issue a recall... they haven't so it isn't"

Wife took it to the dealer along with a radio display problem (lcd coloring is flaking off inside the radio so large bright clear spots shine through red).

1. Visor - SOL buddy out of warranty and no extd warrty doesn't cover it...... next

2. Radio - SOL that isn't covered either

But we'd be glad to fix both ... 80 some bucks for visor and 400 some bucks for radio... Uhhhh riggghttt..

1st.... apparently visor is considered "trim" which HC doesn't cover but at 2.5 yrs and few thousand out of warranty... with a TSB claiming "defective part" you'd think that would a be a no brainer "good will" fix in the spirit of good customer relations and service.

2nd... the radio is without a doubt covered under HC regardless... no area of grey on that one... A dealer should know better without question.....

Not that any other manuf is much better in this regard... just for some reason I expected more from Honda as I've been really happy overall with the car compared to others.

Let customer relations know that I thought it could have been handled better and they had kind of an attitude about it as well. Out of warranty why you calling me... but said they'd follow up with the dealer and get back to me.

Anyway probably get the radio fixed at another dealer.. and if need be fix the visor myself.. cheap and easy enough to just do it myself and move on but on that note should have been likewise response from dealer. I know where I won't be buying or getting service from in the future though.

Venting a little on this one.... Nothing like getting the short stick of defective workmanship and then turning around and attempted to be taken advantage of in the same event.

Ah well.... Honda FTL

When i replaced mine the dumbass service guy insisted that the new visor wont split despite it being the same damn one just a replacement. I hate that idiot. I wanted CRV or some other type of all cloth visor. F*ckin bastard. I hope this one doesn't split but i bet it will since the visors are so shitty. IF it does I'm going go ape shit. Who teh hell thought of plastic with a little cloth for a visor? seriously didn't the dumbass know it was going to snap and break? my friends CRV visor is all cloth not a single problem.
