Exclamation Car Pulling

I had a mis fortunate situation in which my rim and tire got damaged. First of all the car did not pull at all with the old wheel and tire on it after the accident. Honda put on a new tire and it pulled hard (when you let off of the steering wheel its almost a 90 degree snap to either side) to the side in which it was installed, their fix was to move it to the back. The car will pull to whichever side the wheel and tire are mounted on in the front, if it is on the rear the car drives strait. We then thought there was a defective tire, but they put on another one and it still pulled, I called the tire manufacturer and gave them the info, the directed me that Honda had put on the wrong model number tire, so they ordered the correct model number. Had it put on Monday and it still pulls. First thought is tread wear difference, there is only 6000 miles and 1/32" difference between the tires, this should not cause any problems. Another odd issue is that when it is pulling and push in the clutch the car goes strait until you let off the clutch and then the car pulls again. The tech thinks its the wheel, the service writer thinks its the difference in tread wear. I was hoping someone had some insight on this issue. Thanks!

I wonder if the dealer messed up the alignment? If it never did it before with the original tire, it most def has to do with the replacement or process of putting the wheel on and off?

Take it back to the dealer and have them check the alignment on the car, why they would not do this just baffles me?

Slightly different worn tires will not cause a huge pull to one side.

Something does not add up to me.

the root of your problem most likely is this misfortune that your not telling us about. what happened yo your car? did you hit somthing? pothole? curb? you could have damaged a part of the suspension.

i had this problem for a few weeks as well. i changed my ex wheels to the si wheels and i couldnt really drive straight and it kept turing 45degrees to the right and i tested it, checked alignment it was fine, and then a bit after it was fine. so its not your alignment tahts the problem. its something else.

I hit a landscaping cement block on the highway. The car did not pull at all with the old tire and wheel, nor does it pull at all when the new wheel and tire are placed on the rear of the car. Nothing on the car is damaged or it would pull regardless of what wheel and tire are on it, when you press in the clutch when it is pulling it will stop untill you release the clutch then it will start to pull again. This Saturday will be the 5th time I will have been back to Honda for this issue. I do not see how 1/32 of an inch of wear on the other three tires will have an issue when a new tire is introduced. The tech thinks its the wheel. The Service writer thinks is the tire. I honestly dont know, if I did know this problem would be solved. Even Michelin says that much wear shouldnt cause a problem. The car is pulling hard, I mean almost a 90 degree snap to whichever side the tire is on, its insane, push in the clutch it drives strait. Just hoping someone had some insight. Thanks.
