Sorry your going through so much crap.
I work at a dealership and might could help with what to ask your dealership. The first thing we look at when people come in with blown motors in check the oil. If no oil we look at the drain bolt (most of the time its from oil change places leaving then loose and they fall out while driving). If the drain bolt is still there we look for stored codes (dtc's). If there are any than we look at the freeze frame data from the scan tool to see where the rpm, oil pressure, vehicle speed, and other sensors that might be affected from the incident. Thats the ONLY actual proof they have of vehicle abuse. Other than that they have nothing besides what they wanna say off the top of there head. Like most dealerships the techs are lazy and don't like to do much diag work to see what actually happened. In most cases they see the mods and say "abuse". The freeze frame data is your only proof of non abuse if the battery gets disconnected than its gone. So dont disconnect it if you haven't . Or if they dealership erases the code than you hope is lost. If the service manager tells the warranty clerk at the dealership the void your warranty its over. You will then have to take it to the national honda warranty department and It will take some time but it might work out in your benefit. Also dealerships make a good bit of money from non warranty motor jobs. they may just want your money, i would take it to another dealer for another opinion. |
