Sounds from Engine Bay Under Throttle

All,

Put my fears to rest. When I hit the throttle, usually when the engine over 3k rpm I hear the engine rev, but I also hear a gushing sounds. Almost like a shuuuuuuuuuuu from the engine bay. Seems to be coming from the passenger side. Quite noticable on the free way.

Is this normal? Mabye a loose hose, dirty air filter? Car has about 1000 miles on it.

I can't say that i have heard it before, but its probably normal. Maybe it is just some wind roar or your more sensitive to the sounds your car makes.

I'm not really sure what it sounds like from your description. Is it high pitched? Low pitched? Does it sound like wind noise or is it a squealing? When you hear it is it constant or does it vary periodically?

If it's a constant high pitched sound, not very loud over engine and road noise, then it could be the intake roar/noise (depending on who you talk to), which is normal.
