for the lazy... here's a good DIY check on whether or not you fall within range & your car hasnt already been checked over:

CUSTOMER NOTIFICATION
All owners of affected vehicles will be sent a
notification of this campaign. An example of the
customer notification is at the end of this service
bulletin.
Before beginning work, verify vehicle eligibility by
checking at least one of these items:
• The customer has a notification letter.
• The vehicle is shown as eligible on a VIN status
inquiry.
In addition to these verification items, check for a
punch mark below the seventh character of the engine
compartment VIN. A punch mark in that location means
the ABS wheel speed sensor and O-ring have been
inspected and, if necessary, replaced.

Some vehicles affected by this campaign may be in
your new vehicle inventory. According to federal law,
these vehicles cannot be sold or leased until they
are repaired. To see if a vehicle is affected by this
campaign, do a VIN status inquiry before selling it.
Notification letter or VIN status inquiry.

Fack waiting for the notification letter I'm going in to get it checked.

Since the vin's start with 2, that would tell me that cars assembled in the Ohio factory are NOT affected.

My car came from the Ohio factory.

Read my post linked to already regarding this issue if you don't know if your car is affected.

Got my appointment ready for this Monday morning. I hope it doesn't take forever. WTF is up with the Canadian factory, eh? Are they drinking Molsons on the assembly line or something? You'd expect this crap from GM, Ford, or VW.

Canucks, get on the friggin' ball already!

:)

This recall just gives me more justification to get rid of my Civic Coupe before the warranty ends in December 2008.
