YAY. Maybe this is why it sounds like one of my rear wheel bearings is starting to go.....

Sorry to sound like a noob here...but I'm confused about the VIN range for the 2007 FG2 SI on the recall slip. Would my VIN be included (crosses fingers and hopes not)

My FA5 is all up in the range. Looks like I'll be at my local stealership to get it looked at.

another noobish question, but in the pdf recall, it stated that the 7th character of the VIN will have a punch mark if it's been replaced. if ur VIN does not fall within that range, though, will it still have a punch mark or no?

quoted from the PDF file listed on page 1 or 2.....
for the lazy... here's a good DIY check on whether or not you fall within range & your car hasnt already been checked over:

CUSTOMER NOTIFICATION
All owners of affected vehicles will be sent a
notification of this campaign. An example of the
customer notification is at the end of this service
bulletin.
Before beginning work, verify vehicle eligibility by
checking at least one of these items:
• The customer has a notification letter.
• The vehicle is shown as eligible on a VIN status
inquiry.
In addition to these verification items, check for a
punch mark below the seventh character of the engine
compartment VIN. A punch mark in that location means
the ABS wheel speed sensor and O-ring have been
inspected and, if necessary, replaced.

Some vehicles affected by this campaign may be in
your new vehicle inventory. According to federal law,
these vehicles cannot be sold or leased until they
are repaired. To see if a vehicle is affected by this
campaign, do a VIN status inquiry before selling it.

Looks to me like it affects all Canadian made Civics shipped to the US market ONLY (VIN 2xxxxx...xH5xxxxx).

Canadian made Civics for the Canadian market are unaffected by this recall (VIN 2xxxxx...xH0xxxxx).

Anyone with info that contradicts this?

if your vin is within the range, you should get this work done. it is a RECALL...not a service bulliten. it shouldnt matter if it is wrong with your car or not...they need to fix it.
the dealer cannot deny a recall if your car doesnt look affected.
