SR, I don't know what corrective action you'd like a Mod to take, but I'm done. If someone can't figure out some aspect of the recall after all of this, they're beyond my help. If anyone wants to let me know their feelings about some other aspect of this discussion, feel free to PM me and keep it out of SR's thread.

Well, they could certainly do that, but I believe there's some value to some of the posts, and personally, I'm not big on sweeping things under the rug.

In reading most of this thread, it is actually a welcome change to see someone post on a Civic forum that can spell, use proper sentence structure, and call out e-thugs all at once.

It will be back to "omg how many horssespowerz do u getz from stickerz" soon enough I am sure, but at least we had a small moment in the sun.

I don't mean to point fingers at anyone for fighting, because it was really kind of just clarifying or explaining things, but I just don't think fighting is constructive, even if good points are made on both sides.

I just don't like fighting, haha, that's all. No hard feelings on anyone.

And as for the maturity of Civic forums, this is easily the most mature of all of the ones I've been on. I don't use any others anymore.

Hi, my 06 civic EX brake paddle vibrates when it rans over a bump or brakes at high speed. Does this have anything to do with the recall you posted? Thanks.

That's almost certainly your ABS activating, which is completely normal and not related to this recall. Still, you should check the first post of this thread to see if your VIN is in the recall range. If so, you can stop by your dealer with the TSB in hand and have them test drive your car to determine if there's a brake problem, too.

That is most likely your ABS kicking in. It is pretty sensitive. What is the VIN of your car? If it falls within the recall it would be a good idea to get it checked out. Either way, I bet your issue is just the ABS.

I just got back from the dealership to get my car inspected because of this recall, and they said my car was fine, they did not take any of the wheels off to inspect it, and i thought they had to take them off? took them about 15 minutes.

If the car's on a lift, the inspection can be performed without removing the wheels. Glad you had a quick, trouble-free inspection.

Yea my VIN number falls in there. I thought it was my tires originally because they were feathering/cupping slightly. The dealer told me that it was somewhat normal because it is a performance oriented vehicle and the suspension causes irregular wear on the tires. So after hearing this I rotated my tires as they were due for and firgured it would eventually go away. After two weeks went by and 1K miles the noise hadn't gotten any better but only worse and extremly bad at 45 mph. I went back to the dealership and told them the noise was unbearable and I had the shop foreman ride in my car with me and he immeadiatly noticed it before we even got out of the parking lot (I laughed) . After getting back to the dealership, my advisor laughed and before we could say anything he threw a sheet of paper across the desk and said "it's a recall, first one to actually come in with problems but yea it's a recall". So being the good man he is he already placed an order for both rear bearings and all needed materials. He also mentioned that the news had over exagerrated the effects or this problem (e.g. wheel falling off). So this Thursday if not earlier my bearings will be changed out and I'll post anymore details if I find out anything else for you guys. BTW good job Mike for the find and all the exact details.

SiGuY9685, that's exactly the kind of service every shop should offer. What's the name of your fine dealership?

Took my car in today since my VIN fell into the range of the recall. They told me they inspected both rear O-rings, and everything looked good. That's great as long as my wheel doesn't fly off any time soon
