Anything wrong?!

Hi,
I have kind of a stupid question :) . I have a 2007 Civic LX AT. Yesterday, I decided to have a small race with one of my friends. I moved the shifter to D3 and floored the gas. The RPM was around 6.5K. The highest speed that the car reached was about 50 mph. We basically wanted to know whose car can reach 50mph faster. Do you think this has caused any problems for the car?

let people do what they want with their cars. BTW you spelled "brake" it is spelled "BREAK". and no, you wont do any damage to your car. Just don't keep doing it and you will be fine. If you wanted speed, LX wasn't meant for it. SI will entertain you if you are looking for speed in the honda line up. IF that isnt enough, go with the accord v6. And if that isnt enough, you can go with the s2k...

I definitely will not keep doing this, and I definitely do not want speed. It was just a one time thing, and you know sometimes you do something bad to your car and afterward you feel bad about it. I just wanted to share it with you guys. :)

Thanks,

Leave it in drive and let it do the shifting. It can't over rev that way.

the car has a redline for a reason, in the lx it starts at 6800, ive done this several times in my 07 lx and ive had no problems with it. plus if something does go wrong, its still under warranty till 2010 right.
