Changing to synthetic oil a month after oil change

Hi everyone,

First off, just wanted to say that I've been lurking here for a while now and have found this site very useful and informative.

Anyways, I had my oil changed on my TW SI coupe about a month ago but they put in "normal" oil afterwards. I kinda want to switch to synthetic now by using it to top up my engine oil.

Would this cause any issues?

should be fine.

if it's the same rating, it will behave the same way, just break down a bit later on than dino oil.. that's it.

Your car will not blow up if you mix synthetic and non-synthetic oil. Perfectly fine.
