This is direct from Honda owners link

7,500 mi/12,000 km Scheduled Maintenance
Recommended service for your 2000 Honda Insight:

Replace engine oil.
Rotate tires.
..

You'll notice it does NOT have 3 or 5k oil change and it doesn't require oil filter changes at each service. This is normal guidline. Severe is 3750

So not all Honda's use the same guidelines.

There is no other guidlines on Honda homelink. The video says to just follow the maintance minder.

Another video link for those that still think a 1985 Honda is the same as a modern Honda.

Refrence this to the other info that everyone else has sent you it is a copy of a 1985 civic Honda Service manual. Reference that to the websight and the Copy of the hillside honda thing.

If you don't believe that this is the service manual for a 1985 civic
here is the websight download it yourself.
http://pdftown.com/search/node/1985+...wiring+diagram

It's on page 46 of the first section.

Again the service intervals have not changed since at least 1985. The suggest that you change your engine oil more but, look they even tell you to change your oil filter at 7500 miles.

The lube points may have changed, the equipment that is replaced may have changed, the oil viscosity may have changed (and considering they have changed oil descriptions more than I can count, it's prob. different.) BUT THE MFG SUGGESTED INTERVALS ARE ESSENTIALLY THE SAME!

Edit..
Modern Honda engines don't require an oil filter change at 7500miles. Reference:

Directly from Honda
Maintenance Minder A Scheduled Maintenance
Recommended service for your 2007 Honda Civic:

Replace engine oil (you'll notice it only says replace engine oil and not the filter)

As best I can tell service minder A would be a range of 3750 severe to possibly as high as 10k miles. My pure guess. Since my wifes Mercedes has a service minder oil life system and it gets up to 15k on oil changes.

People need to learn and read up on Modern engines before posting links of misinformation.

Hillside Honda didn't design or produce my car. Hillside Honda is open too make money by creating more service work.

Just becuase you've manage to find two sources of misinformation does not make the information correct.

Did you not read my post? I acknowledged this.

Did you not check the link? It was the Honda Service Manual. You can't get any more official than that.

Or are you too busy being a troll.

Your original Question was answered three times.

CLOSE THE THREAD!!!!!!

BTW "english" is SPELLED WITH A CAPITAL E. I can understand English. It's the people who can't spell or type it correctly, especially when there is a spell checker available, that need to go back to school and learn it.

I've still not been shown the parameters of when the ECU will determine the transmission fluid change.

dude what do you want?
If it is recommended at a certain interval it is for your own good. You could go by the maintenince minder or mileage up to you, its just good practice and will probably give your car a much more longer life span, because 30k miles is a lot and whatever particles and break down of ATF can make the tranny run rougher.
Your ECU will not know that you have synthetic auto tranny fluid, Synthetic fluids lubricate better and start working at much colder temperatures than dino fluids.
might want to check up on what your talking before you argue a point.

I agree. But I've not seen an official honda list of when the ATF fluid is to be changed. Don't understand why this pretty valid information isn't listed in the owners manual or on the honda website.

I've got some Redline d4 on order and will swap it in.

Can we stop the bickering please?

To the OP, if you aren't satisfied with the information provided about when to change the transmission fluid, perhaps a quick call to your dealer could answer the question.
