My 07 civic 5 speed - what a piece of crap

I've driven a lot of cars, and owned a few hondas.. even a few hondas with closer to 200K on them that didn't have as many problems as my brand new 07 civic does. EX model - 5 speed.

- When I drive slow forward, or reverse, in or out of gear.. there is a "settling" or "clicking" sound which comes from the rear of the vehicle, I'm starting to hear it from the front and rear though - I've got virtually no gap between my tires, and the body of the vehicle, which I did to start with so something is wrong?

- When you look at the rear wheels, the camber angle is negative so bad, it looks like I've got it set up for a sick autocross or track event.. though I haven't touched it, the right rear is especially on a gangster lean which I never even hit a pothole with, so how the heck did that happen?

- When I'm shifting through the gears, and I get to 4'th.. no matter how gently I put it into 4'th, I get a loud bang, or clunk sound as if the linkage is smacking into something under the car, or down inside the console.. it's really annoying.

- The left front speaker (tweeter maybe?) is blown, when ever I have I play the stereo above maybe volume 12 it starts to crackle, and anything above that it's just rattling.

- The steering wheel is facing the right, when I am going straght.. it has been like this since I test drove the car right off the truck still wrapped in plastic. The slignment is ok, but the steering wheel is not aligned with the wheels.. wtf?

I'm sure theres going to be more problems, I work 6 days a week and have no other car to let them work on mine.. what do I do? Schedule service, and demand a loaner or what!? I didn't finance 28K for a base model car to have all these problems. It's maybe 3 weeks old, with 2,500 miles on it by the way.. they refused to change my oil because the oil live still says 60% even though there must be metal shavings in the oil from the engine being so new am I wrong?

I am starting to regret my purchase, and In a lot of debt. Suggestions please!

Too early to change oil? You can change it whenever you want. If your asking them to do it for free they won't regardless (unless you asked for a couple of free oil change coupons when you bought the car like me). Even so, if you pay them or use the coupon they will change it for you.

the only thing i have to say is, the rear camber is normal.

I gotta read the lemon laws, I cant pay 436 a month for this thing to have so many problems right from the get go.. but the thing is, when the car decided to lower itself, the front end bottomed out and the bumper is scratched up on the right underside..it happend while I was driving on a highway.

I told them I'd pay for the oil change, they told me they won't touch it uinless it has 30% oil life or less..?

I dunno, I gotta look up lemon laws, this car better be able to be returned, I can't deal with this I'm already stressed out.

the front tweeter sounds blown, because when they installed it the speaker wire runs by some of the main electrical wires in the car, causing electrical noise, I had the same prob with mine, easy fix, replace with aftermarket lol, better quality and sound.

Take it to the dealer and have them check your issues. If they're a decent dealer (like mine), they should give you a loaner without hesitation. If not, then find another dealer. After that, see where things go from there.

Be tough, but polite and professional with them if they are not satisfying you. Don't let them off the hook until they make you happy. Go up their personnel ladder if a particular individual is blowing you off.

Good luck.

Stop suggesting "Lemon Law' when he didn't even have the chance to fix it yet.

To those crying out "lemon law".. a blown speaker does not indicate a major mechanical failure, nor does an alignment..
OP, looks like you may need an alignment, perhaps something with your suspension is broken.. not sure about 4th gear, but changing your engine oil early won't do anything for you other than waste your money.. if you want to change your transmission oil, do a search around here and there is lots of helpful info. I'd still bring that to the dealer as a brand new car purchase includes a warranty.

I would like to echo other people's recommendations to take your problems to the dealer.. as much as I like to sit back and discuss stuff here, that's not going to accomplish anything being repaired under warranty, but taking it to the dealer just may. You paid for a warranty when you purchased the car, why not use it?

How did you pay 28K for a civic EX? if your car bottomed out beacause of a failure- then all the damage is covered under your warranty......The hard part will be proving it!

I thought it was just me, but it's fairly obvious now the more I sit in there, it may only be by a few degrees, but if you put the wheel straight, thje vehicle definitly moves to the left only.

As far as the other alignment and wheel issues go, I will have to take the car in for service, it's a major dissapointment to buy a honda with such quickly onset problems.. I bought the honda to avoid service so soon in the vehicles life.. go figure.

I told my father about the bumper getting f'd up when the rear wheel got really bad, and he told me i was a liar, and i could never prove that etc etc.. I said yeah I know thats what really gets to me .. if only there were traffic camera on that highway.

18,550 before ttl

8.4 % finance for 66 months = ??????? a lot

extended warranty 7Yr / 100K

wheel tire warranty?

5,000 cash towards new car if car is totalled or stolen in 5 years from purchase $????.??

all sorts of crap I agreed to because I was pressed to buy a car, and didn't have another day to look before I risked losing my career.

How can an EX 5sp be $28k? Have you been repeatedly trading cars and rolling it into the next one?

As far as the wheel tilt, the wheel is on a spline that probably has about 18 teeth on it, maybe more, and just got pressed on at the wrong spot. Theoretically it could be pulled off the spline and put back on rotated to approximately level. It may never be exact. We had cars that the gap was exactly at 12 o'clock so the wheel could be barely off to the right or left but not exactly straight.
