Weak A/C?

I know this is probably nothing, but I just wanted to check. Lately, it has been up around the 100's in so cal. So of course, I've been using the A/C a lot more. The problem is that it never even feels that cold. Is that just the way it is in the 8th gens? I previously had a 96 accord and the A/C was so much colder. Maybe it's just me though.

My A/C takes like 10-15 mins to really cool down in the heat.

when you're at a stop light is only gets cool, when when you're at 2k RPMs or higher is gets cold, just what I noticed.

The a/c sucks in the Si, it never took that long to get the ep3 cold.

I tried to search, but I didn't see that this topic was already covered. I guess it was.

go back to the dealer and have them check the system charge. Mine was REALLY low!!! I did it myself and purged some of the R-134a and refilled it with synthetic freon. Mine is so cold it gives me goose bumps!!! Even when it was 108 in Ontario this week!!!

If it's barely working then you have a problem but if it's just not really super powerful (however the hell you describe that, haha) then it's fine. The compressor is very small and does not pump a great volume of refrigerant, esp when idling which is when the ac dosen't seem to work too "hot" at all. It's a compromise between AC and fuel economy.

When you come to a stop hit the recirc button and when you take off again turn it off.

As always everyones opinion of cool is different, if you think you may actually have a problem take it to the dealer. Honda has a checklist the tech will follow to verify proper operation.
